Matt McGuire is President of JCAM Advanced Mobility, a company he co-founded with Jackie Chan in early 2006. JCAM focuses on identifying and marketing eco-friendly and efficient, advanced transportation technologies throughout Asia Pacific with primary attention in South Korea, China PRC, Hong Kong, and Singapore. As President, Mr. McGuire is responsible for daily operations and tactics of JCAM as well as identifying new business expansion opportunities and charting the company’s long-term direction. Under his leadership JCAM has grown into a company with diverse and growing business interests, operating in over 7 countries. In addition JCAM has earned Hong Kong Business's High-Flyers Outstanding Enterprises Award (Modern Alternative Technology) 2006, and generates revenues exceeding HK$20MM.

Mr. McGuire has spent his entire career in the advanced technology field. While studying design, communications, and Japanese language at Northeastern University in Boston, he began his employment at SensAble Technologies Inc., an MIT startup and leading developer of 3D touch-enabled (force feedback) solutions and technologies that improve the way humans interact within and through virtual environments. During this time Mr. McGuire was responsible for providing usability feedback and quality assurance that assisted greatly in the development of the Phantom® Haptic Device and FreeForm®, a digital 3D modeling software that utilized the Phantom to empower designers to actually feel the computer generated models they were developing.

In 2000, Mr. McGuire relocated to Tokyo, Japan to assist in opening SensAble’s APAC regional office and provide regional product sales and specialist support for the Asia Pacific region.

In 2002 Mr. McGuire left Japan for Hong Kong to open and manage SensAble’s second Asian office and to focus on marketing the technology in South East Asia, primarily to Southern Chinese manufacturing facilities. Through his experience in working with these facilities Mr. McGuire realized a common disconnect in communication between designers and manufacturers that often resulted in less than satisfactory production quality, extended production lead times, and excessive costs to both the design firms and manufacturers.

In 2003 Mr. McGuire founded AML, a company that utilized the hardware and software systems he had helped develop and market in Asia. These technologies helped to bridge the gap in communication and understanding between Western designers and Chinese manufacturers. Since 2003 AML has assisted toy companies including MegaBloks® and Schleich GMBH as well as medical educational companies such as Anatstat in successfully developing and producing higher quality parts from China while realizing quicker turnaround times and reduced costs.

Mr. McGuire has a keen interest in innovations that have the capacity to improve society and at every opportunity incorporates them into his personal life. He is committed to continually searching out and developing other socially responsible businesses. He currently lives in Hong Kong with his wife and daughter.
